Summary: Horrible Ink Usage
Comment: This printer looks nice, but uses ink like crazy. Never have I spent so much on ink!!!! I do a lot of printing and found that I spend so much on ink that I could actually buy another printer each time. Wish I would have looked into the ink cost before buying...off to shopping for a cheaper printer.

Summary: Canon Pixma MC310 all in one
Comment: In my opinion Canon makes an excellkent product, so when my original al in one printer went down (not Canon) I turned to the Canon line. I purchased the MX310 thru Amazon on sale, including freight. It arrived in three days. The unit arrived in excellent condition via Fed Ex. Setup was reasonably easy. I still beliueve this stuff is made in Japan and instructiuons are written in China. The print is sharp and clear, the colors are excellent. It is in use in a home office environment. I heartily recommend this unit.

Summary: Sure beats HP
Comment: We have been getting rid of all our HP printers over the last year due to premature failures and poor performance. We bought this Pixma to replace my wife's aging all-in-one HP and we both love it. The primary consideration was the scanning compatibility on the Mac platform and it scans at top speed, easy to use and excellent quality prints, although we're not too concerned about that.
We love it. Easy to setup, and use - and incredible value.
I recommend Canon to all my clients and I own one The Computer Wizard, of the largest computer consulting firms in North Texas.

Summary: Best I've ever had
Comment: I've had nothing but trouble with HP printers. The Canon MX310 is such a wonderful change to a truly quality printer-scanner-fax, and for half the price! The software installed without a hitch in Windows XP and all functions work great. The manual is somewhat vague and it took some small amount of fiddling to operate the fax and scan modes, but in the end, not enough to remove a whole star, as it's really pretty simple to use. It also looks good, with a sleek design. I love it! Keep it up, Canon!

Summary: It does the job
Comment: I found this printer some what confusing to install, mostly due to how the instructions are written. While I am not a tech expert I am also not a tech idiot.I found installation went faster and easier by doing it "my way". I still have not figured out how to turn off the fax receive mode even after reading the manual several times, I have to turn the machine off so as not to receive faxes. For the price I feel it does the job I need it to. It prints quickly ( much faster than the HP printer this Cannon replaced). The print quality is great. All the features work great. It takes awhile but eventually one figures it all out, I would have to say this is not what I would consider a straight forward installation and user friendly machine. The manual is quite involved. If you have the patience and time you will do fine. Over all I would say it is good machine for the money. It serves my needs well and saves me time and $$ by not having to go to the print store to have copies made and faxes sent.
